need to know the "live load" specification
for your town. Ask your city building permit dept.
For patio covers use Type I or IV, for carports use Type V.
Light or no snow areas use 20 lb. per sq. ft. live load.
Medium
snow areas use
30 lb. per sq. ft. live load.
Heavy snow areas use 40 lb. per sq. ft. live load.
Definition of Span = distance
from house to post, or distance between posts. |

the ground 2'). If posts are going on the slab or deck we can send
8' post with post brackets, please advice if this is the case. Pricing
